Designed with small spaces and open floor plans in mind, the Lateral Pendant allows for maximum visibility of natural light. The warm glow of LEDs creates an intimate environment, while the spare form and slim profile keep visual noise to a minimum. The aluminum shade is powder coated in gloss white.

Base Camp is a temporary display system for items that are typically immediately discarded or otherwise quickly pass through our consciousness. These same items are linked to relationships and activities that bring us joy and fulfillment: a cork from wine enjoyed with a friend, tickets from a family museum outing, a pencil that’s been sharpened one too many times. Base Camp proposes we hold onto these items, engage with them, and enjoy them just a little longer before they migrate on to more permanent homes.
Base Camp is constructed of walnut and bamboo without adhesives or fasteners. The walnut base and crown allow the placement and hanging of objects while the bamboo dowels grip paper and small objects.
A growing number of people are working in non-traditional environments. The wellbeing of people in these work environments is not nearly as considered as in traditional workspaces. The Unbounded collection sets out to address issues specific to three non-traditional work environments: working from home, on the road, and in co-working spaces. The Unbounded lamp establishes a boundary between work and home life, the portable space divider provides access to a familiar environment and personal affects while travelling for work, and the workspace establishes a space that can be at times private and at others foster collaboration in a co-working environment.
Negotiate Console & Desk
The Negotiate Console is an irreverent acknowledgement of the pressure and anxiety that arise during a negotiation. A single drawer for passing proposed figures means pulling toward one side pulls away from the other. The angled base modules of the Negotiate Desk amplify the dynamic by defining positions of advantage and vulnerability. Luxurious finishes and hardware mirror the stakes of the transaction.
Quadcopter equipped with Arduino sensors and environmental awareness. QuEASEA is a project in development that explores the utilization of consumer-grade, remote-controlled helicopters, and easily accessible electronics to collect and visualize data.
There are currently two proposed tracks for the project. The first is inspired by the adaptions of Bruce, a blind pug who after many eye surgeries had his eyes removed. QuEASEA, like Bruce, would autonomously map its environment through its senses of ‘touch’, ‘smell’, and ‘hearing’. The second track would utilize onboard sensors and transmitters to track and relay relative position, plotting its path through space as three-dimensional curves. The quadcopter then becomes an input device for sculpting geometries in 3D modeling applications as well as a system for visualizing data collected over three-dimensional space and time. QuEASEA is a collaborative project in development by Zach Pino and myself.
Play Space is a multi-modal children's environment that facilitates independent and collaborative open-ended play. Each mode is optimized for specific developmental stages to make Play Space a rewarding experience from infancy to middle school. Play Space is a project in development.
